ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Richard John Cannane was born and raised in Sydney, Australia.
After graduating from the University of New South Wales with a Bachelor of Commerce degree, he started working in the banking and finance industry. This career path has taken him to live and work in countries such as China, Japan, Thailand, England, France, Mexico, Peru, USA and Switzerland. He completed his MBA at the University of Strathclyde in 2007 and currently works as an Operations Manager for a global trading company in Switzerland.
His passion for writing has accompanied him on his adventures around the world. His stories capture them with earnest simplicity. Together with his twin brother, Richard grew up with a fondness for travel and culture. The themes of this humorous collection explore and celebrate the contrasts between global movement and simple moments, bejewelling them with equal importance.

Fluent in Mandarin Chinese, French and German Richard lives with his boyfriend in Lucerne. In his spare time, he enjoys photography, playing piano, rowing, skiing and cooking.
